Back Forty Acres has many fine products to offer you. Click on each shown at the left. Read about what we raise, how we do it and how much fun we have doing it!

An additional product in 2011 is Beef. You asked for it, we sourced it for you! It is the only product which we are not raising on our own farm. We've joined forces with a young lady west of Jackson MI who raises Limosin / Angus. They are grass-fed, corn-finish

We do not ship or deliver product. If you order from us, you pick up at the Farm. We will notify you in advance of day & times we will be at the farm. (If necessary, we can schedule an alternate times.) Directions to the Farm are on the Contact Us page.

The order form shows approximate dates when product will be available. But you can get eggs all year long!

  The Grange Kitchen & Bar, 118 W. Liberty, Ann Arbor, MI For many years now, Chef Brandon has utilized all of our products throughout the year in season: chicken, turkey, duck, goat, lamb, pork, beef, rabbit, eggs
  Jolly Pumpkin Cafe and Brewery, 311 S. Main, Ann Arbor, MI Chef Maggie came on board in 2010 and hasn't looked back. This year's menu includes chicken, duck and eggs.
  Arbor Brewery Company, 114 E. Washington, Ann Arbor, MI Chef Nicole came to Back Forty Acres in 2011 and can't get enough of our chicken!
  Harvest Kitchen, Ypsilanti, MI You can order prepared dishes from this CSA and find our chicken on a regular basis, sometimes eggs.
  Evans Street Station, 110 S. Evans St, Tecumseh, MI Chef Alex does fall duck dishes.
  Zingerman's Deli, 422 Detroit St, Ann Arbor, MI Lamb has been featured during February Pot Pie month along with rabbit & duck for speciality dinners. Thanks chef Rodger!
  Darcy's Kart at Mark's Cart 211 W. Washington, Ann Arbor, MI Chef Paul was the first of Mark's Carts to learn how wonderful our Tamworth pork is!
  Humble Hogs at Mark's Cart 211 W. Washington, Ann Arbor, MI Chef Keith was not far behind Chef Paul in finding, you guessed it, our Tamworth Pork.
  Common Grill 112 South Main, Chelsea, MI Chef Craig uses our farm fresh, free range eggs for Sunday Brunch.
  Logan, 115 W. Washington, Ann Arbor, MI Logan will be featuring our goat in winter 2011-2012.

Find us at the Farmers Market!

The farmers market season generally runs from May through October. On Saturdays you can find us at the Chelsea Farmers' Market & Plymouth Farmers' Market. Here's what we bring:

Chicken, turkey, duck, rabbit, stewing hens. Individual cuts of beef, pork, lamb & goat. Duck eggs.

Back Forty Acres is participating member of the online Lunasa Market, Ann Arbor location. Important: To purchase through Lunasa you must be a Lunasa member and purchase through their online ordering forum. Lunasa pricing is higher than what will be found on this website or on our order forms.
